Accounts & user types
BizQuery comes in two account types — individual and organization — and they differ in a lot more than size. An organization adds people, roles, projects, and governed decisions; an individual is a private, self‑contained workspace. This page is the reference for who can do what.
The two account types
Individual — a solo workspace
A single‑person workspace where you are the admin of your own space.
- Create libraries and connect external tools — everything you make is private to you.
- Ask grounded, cited questions over your own documents.
- Read everything the platform publishes publicly (shared “global” knowledge) — included, at no extra step.
- In the app you see Ask · Knowledge · Skills · Connections (and your account settings). The team features — Projects, Decisions, Advisors, and user management — are organization‑only.
Best for a single professional, researcher, or student.
Organization — a shared, governed workspace
A multi‑person workspace for a company or team.
- People have roles (member, checker, admin) that decide what they can do.
- Knowledge and access are organized into Projects; resources can also be private or shared organization‑wide.
- Playbooks and proposals go through governed Decisions before anything with an external effect happens.
- Admins build Advisors and manage the org’s Knowledge, Projects, Connections, and users.
Best for teams that need sharing, oversight, and an audit trail.
Roles in an organization
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Member | Use Ask and Skills; create playbooks and proposals; create private resources of their own. |
| Checker | Everything a member can, plus decide on Decisions (approve / suggest a change / reject). |
| Admin | Manage Knowledge, Projects, Advisors, Connections, and users; share resources at project or org scope; may approve their own requests. |
Accounts are provisioned by the platform operator — you sign in with the credentials you’re given.
